Personal law (Law of persons)

Legal capacity is acquired at birth and is the formal ability of a person to hold and exercise rights and obligations. Capacity to act is the ability of a person to perform and comprehend the nature and consequences of acts of a legal nature. Spanish Law 8/2021, 2 June, which reforms civil and procedural legislation to support persons with disabilities in the exercise of their legal capacity establishes that persons with disabilities have full legal capacity in all areas of their lives and establishes the legal regime of measures, legal and voluntary, to support persons with disabilities to enable them to develop their full potential.

I provide advice on all matters relating to support measures for people with disabilities, both from the perspective of the person with a or various disabilities and the person(s) providing support, including the choice of the most suitable measures according to their personal circumstances.

I accompany and/or represent my clients wherever they need my services, e.g. the notary’s office or the registry office, and draft agreements on support measures relating to the person and/or property of the person with a or various disabilities.

I intervene in all judicial and extrajudicial procedures related to support measures for people with disabilities.
